Did you know?
Preterm birth (before 37 weeks' gestation) is a global problem. Around the world, more than 15 million babies (approximately 1 in 10) are born preterm every year. While the majority of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Māori women birth at term, non-Indigenous women are less likely to have a preterm infant. Other factors, like access and confidence in navigating the healthcare system also contribute to rates of preterm birth.
We're here to make a difference

Who will be invited to take part?
Pregnant women and pregnant people who are at risk of preterm birth, and babies born preterm, will be invited to participate in this research in hospitals across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
